30 Day Coloring Challenge

March 10, 2017

Hey, thanks for coming by today.  Just wanted to let you know about something fun that’s going on this month.  The Daily Marker is doing another 30 Day Coloring Challenge, and you’re invited to join in.  Find the details here.

I used a coloring page from a coloring book today, and trimmed it down to 2″ x 5″.  I colored this with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.  Unfortunately, they don’t blend all that great on this paper.  But I went over it with my Wink of Stella Shimmer Pen, and that helped the colors blend a little more.

For this one I used Distress Inks and a Mini Ink Blending Tool.  I used Tumbled Glass at the top, followed by Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, and Peacock Feathers topped with Blueprint Sketch at the bottom.

This one has a crease about 3/4 of the way down on the right side.  I hoped it wouldn’t show, but it’s still pretty noticeable.  I added white dots along the the edges of the wings with a white gel pen, and I love the look.  I still need to turn these pieces into cards, but today I’m just having fun coloring and sharing the process with you.

I  hope you enjoyed my short post today, and that you’ll join me at The Daily Marker for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  See you there!
