Coffee Cards (On a dime!)

March 2, 2017

Thanks for coming by today.  I love making cards for the great people in my life, but sometimes I need a little help coming up with an idea.  Stickers are great for that, because it gives you a starting point.  And the best part is cute stickers don’t have to be expensive!  I got these stickers at my local dollar store, and I’m having so much fun.

I trimmed down some kraft cardstock with my paper trimmer, and stamped a sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I added clear embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool.  I used my tape runner to attach my panel to the card, and added the coffee cup stickers.  Instant card!  I didn’t really need the Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh, but sometimes I can’t stop.

For my second card, I trimmed down a piece of deep pink 6 x 6 cardstock to layer behind the kraft cardstock, because I wanted a little more color.  I wanted to use the “coffee” sticker, so I used a Hero Arts sentiment that says, “Sending you sunshine and laughter.”  I cut the stamp apart (shocking, I know!) and selectively inked the words so I could stack them on top of each other.  Clean the stamp well between each word, or you can end up with a mess (ask me how I know!).  After I added the stickers to the kraft cardstock, I stamped the steam over the cup, and heat embossed it.  Finally I attached my panel to my white card base with tape runner, and that completed my card.

I hope you have a great day.  Thanks for looking!
